What Wildlife Service Actually Means

A Complete Wildlife Service Addresses the Animal and the Home

Wildlife service is the process of identifying the animal and its entry route, resolving current wildlife activity, correcting the openings that allowed access, and addressing contamination or damage when necessary.

Simply removing an animal may solve today’s activity but leave the structure available for another animal. Simply sealing an opening without understanding the activity can also create problems. That is why inspection, removal, exclusion, and cleanup are related but separate parts of professional wildlife work.

Our Core Wildlife Services

Inspection, Removal, Exclusion and Cleanup

These are the four primary services behind the wildlife work we perform on Oklahoma homes. Each has a different purpose, and not every property requires all four.

1

Wildlife Inspection

Determine what animal is involved, locate active entry points, evaluate accessible vulnerabilities, and document visible damage or contamination before recommending work.

Wildlife Inspection Services →
2

Humane Wildlife Removal

Resolve current wildlife activity using a method appropriate for the animal, structure, season, entry location, and possibility of dependent young.

Humane Wildlife Removal →
3

Wildlife Exclusion & Prevention

Repair and reinforce agreed wildlife entry points using materials and methods appropriate for the home and the species that has been using it.

Wildlife Exclusion & Prevention →
4

Attic Cleanup & Restoration

Address wildlife-related droppings, nesting material, odor, contamination, and damaged insulation when the conditions at the property support cleanup or restoration.

Attic Cleanup & Restoration →

The People Doing the Work

Local Technicians Who Understand Wildlife and Homes

Wildlife work is not only about identifying an animal. Technicians also need to understand rooflines, vents, soffits, fascia, foundations, crawlspaces, construction gaps, and the way different species use those parts of a home.

Our field team combines wildlife experience with hands-on structural knowledge so we can look beyond the animal and understand the conditions allowing the problem to happen.

Start With What You Notice

Common Wildlife Problems We Help Solve

Many homeowners do not know the animal when they first call. A sound, smell, damaged vent, dropping, opening, or disturbed area around the home is often the first clue.

Scratching or Movement in Attics & Walls

Timing, location, weight, and the pattern of movement may help distinguish rodents, squirrels, raccoons, and other wildlife.

Scratching & Movement Guide →

Dead Animal Removal & Odor

Persistent wildlife odor may come from a carcass, urine, droppings, nesting material, or another source. Finding the source comes first.

Dead Animal Removal & Odor →

How Animals Get Into Homes

Wildlife may use roof returns, soffits, fascia, vents, chimneys, utility penetrations, foundation openings, garages, and construction gaps.

Common Wildlife Entry Points →

Animals Under Decks, Sheds & Porches

Skunks, opossums, armadillos, and other wildlife may use sheltered areas beneath structures for cover or denning.

Animals Under Structures →

Wildlife Problems That Keep Coming Back

Recurring activity often means an entry route, vulnerability, or shelter condition remains available after the original animal is gone.

Why Wildlife Problems Return →

Not Sure What Animal It Is?

Sounds, droppings, tracks, odor, damage, location, and time of activity can help narrow down the wildlife species involved.

Specialty Wildlife Service

Commercial Bird Control & Exclusion

Bird activity can create persistent problems on commercial buildings, canopies, ledges, signs, loading areas, rooflines, and other protected structural areas.

Effective commercial bird control begins with understanding how birds are using the structure. Depending on the site, the solution may involve exclusion, netting, deterrent systems, entry-point protection, or cleanup.

The goal is not simply to move birds temporarily. The system should address the areas birds repeatedly use for access, nesting, or roosting.

Commercial Bird Solutions Can Include

  • Professional bird exclusion
  • Bird netting systems
  • Roosting deterrent systems
  • Nesting-area protection
  • Canopy and structural protection
  • Cleanup and sanitation when appropriate

How the Services Work Together

The True Care Home Protection Standard™

Inspection, removal, exclusion, and cleanup are separate services, but wildlife problems often connect them.

The True Care Home Protection Standard™ is the framework we use to understand the property, solve current wildlife activity, and help protect the home from future entry.

Explore the Home Protection Standard™ →
1

Understand the Home

Inspect the property, identify the wildlife activity, locate the entry route, and evaluate accessible vulnerabilities, damage, and contamination.

2

Solve Today’s Wildlife Problem

Choose a species-appropriate removal plan based on the animal, structure, season, activity, location, and possibility of dependent young.

3

Help Protect for the Future

Complete approved exclusion work and address wildlife-related contamination or damage when needed.

The Order Matters

Why We Do Not Simply Seal the First Hole We Find

Wildlife exclusion should happen in the correct order.

If an active wildlife opening is permanently sealed before the animal situation is understood, an animal can be trapped inside the structure or dependent young can be separated.

That is why we first determine what animal is involved, how the animal is using the home, and what removal method is appropriate. Permanent repairs follow the removal plan rather than replacing it.

Likewise, removing an animal without addressing a usable entry route can leave the home available for the same species or another animal later.

Folks from True Care have come out to my property and assisted me with wildlife removal and exclusion several times (recurrence has been due to the nature of the location, not quality of their work). Everyone has been very kind, knowledgeable and professional. Pricing has been reasonable and transparent. Recommend without hesitation to anyone who needs help with these issues in the area.

So, all this was caused by the bird feeder my wife received as a birthday gift earlier this year. While birds enjoyed it during the day, at night several other ground species enjoyed the leftovers dropped. Like the critters, the bird feeder will be finding a new home as of today! True care responded quickly to our SOS plea and their trapping/relocation efforts were effective and fast! Tanner and Brad were very friendly and knowledgeable. They’ve been consummate professionals who relocated two skunks, an armadillo and a possum so far. Still to go are at least one more skunk that we know of. Best of all, only one skunk sprayed and it was contained in the plastic bag they used, so our home and yard were spared the pest’s final gift! As a retiree, cost is always a factor because we are on a fixed income. I’d rather not have to pay hundreds of dollars to remove pests, but I also couldn’t afford to endure the damage to our lawn and flower beds. So, the pricing is not cheap but at least I didn’t get sprayed, our yard can recover from the armadillo damage and I didn’t have to discharge a firearm inside the city. My wife is pleased no animal had to die just because it was doing what animals do. You won’t go wrong with True Care!

Very pleasant young man arrived as promised. I was especially impressed by his skilled demeanor and interactions with the obviously sick or injured raccoon in my backyard. Calm and kind. He obviously cared about the animal, which was important to me, and he was also able to remove him quickly from my property, which was also very important to me and to my dogs.

No experiences with any services, but I did call looking for honest answers, informative guidance, & educated opinions from a someone who's knowledgeable & experienced in the field involving pests, critters, & rodents as I had explained my situation that involved my kids finding an adolescent rodent & bringing it near indoors of my home, thinking that they were doing the right thing by "saving" it. The gentleman that I spoke with over the phone stayed on the line with me until I was reassured. Being that my mind was very scrambled, I had struggled to find the correct terminology as I tried to make it make sense. He listened well as he helped me piece my thoughts together & made sure I had a clear understanding. I wish I would've caught his name, but his tone was very calm, he was very patient throughout the call, he answered all of my questions, & gave me honest, useful advice. Because of that, I'm much appreciated.

Local Oklahoma Experience

Wildlife Work Requires Understanding the Structure Too

The animal is often only the visible part of the problem.

Wildlife uses rooflines, soffits, fascia, vents, chimneys, crawlspaces, foundations, garages, utility penetrations, and construction gaps to enter Oklahoma homes.

Our team brings more than 50 years of combined local experience and has completed more than 5,000 professional inspections. That experience combines wildlife behavior with practical knowledge of Oklahoma homes and structural entry points.

Oklahoma Wildlife Service FAQs

What wildlife services does True Care Wildlife provide?

Our primary services are professional wildlife inspection, humane wildlife removal, wildlife exclusion and prevention, and wildlife-related cleanup and attic restoration. We also help with dead animals and odor, scratching in attics and walls, wildlife beneath structures, recurring wildlife entry, wildlife identification, and commercial bird problems.

Do I need to know what animal is causing the problem?

No. Many homeowners first notice scratching, running, droppings, odor, damaged materials, digging, or an exterior opening. The inspection uses available evidence to identify the wildlife activity and determine the appropriate next step.

Does every wildlife problem require all four services?

No. Inspection, removal, exclusion, and cleanup are separate services. The conditions at the property determine which services are appropriate.

Do you offer free wildlife inspections?

Free wildlife inspections are available for homeowners who live in the home within our regular service area. Inspections for landlords, tenants, and certain other situations are not automatically free.

Do you just trap wildlife?

No. Trapping is one possible removal tool rather than the entire service. Depending on the species and situation, removal may involve one-way exits, hand removal, monitoring, trapping when appropriate, or another species-specific method.

What is wildlife exclusion?

Wildlife exclusion is the repair and reinforcement of openings that animals use to enter a structure. The appropriate repair depends on the species, opening, construction material, location, and how the animal has been using the home.

When is attic cleanup or restoration needed?

Cleanup may be appropriate when wildlife has left droppings, urine, nesting material, odor, debris, contamination, or damaged insulation. The amount of work recommended should be based on the actual conditions found at the home.

Why do wildlife problems sometimes return?

Wildlife problems often return when the original animal is removed but the structure still contains usable entry points or sheltered areas. Another animal can then use the same vulnerability.

Does wildlife exclusion include a warranty?

Qualifying exclusion work includes a written warranty. Renewable lifetime coverage is also available under the terms of our warranty program.
