The person people called
Before It Was a Career, Helping With Wildlife Was Already Brad’s Role
Brad McKey grew up in East Oklahoma City. Long before wildlife removal became his profession, he was the person family and friends called when an animal appeared where it did not belong.
Even before he could drive, people knew Brad was comfortable around wildlife. After dropping his sister off at school in Oklahoma City one morning, he was called back to help move a large alligator snapping turtle out of the parking lot. As he grew older, the calls continued: a raccoon inside a home, an opossum inside a business or another unexpected wildlife encounter that needed someone willing to help.
That instinct to step in, understand the situation and help solve it eventually became a career.
Experience brought home
Experience Built Across More Than a Decade of Service
Brad entered the pest-control and home-service industry at age 20. He spent his first three years working for a pest and lawn company, gaining experience with customers, homes, service operations and the day-to-day responsibility of solving problems correctly.
He later had the opportunity to own and operate a wildlife-control franchise. Oklahoma remained the center of that business throughout the next ten years, while locations in three other states operated at different points during that period.
Working in different roles, with different companies and across different communities gave Brad a broad perspective on what homeowners need from a service provider: respectful communication, dependable processes, honest recommendations and solutions designed around better long-term outcomes.
When that franchise chapter concluded, Brad chose to make his next chapter entirely Oklahoma-focused. He founded True Care Wildlife as an independent local company built around respectful customer service, long-term home protection, responsible wildlife resolution and investment in the Oklahoma community where he grew up.
True Care Wildlife is the result—an independent, Oklahoma-owned company built around its own values, standards and vision for long-term home protection.
The goal is not to become the biggest company across the most states. It is to become the most trusted home-protection company in Oklahoma.
One clear promise
We Treat Our Customers, Their Homes and the Wildlife We Encounter With Respect.
That promise shapes how we inspect, communicate, resolve wildlife activity and help protect a home after the immediate problem is gone.
Respect the Customer
Listen carefully, explain findings clearly, offer honest recommendations and respond reasonably when a concern arises.
Respect the Home
Look beyond the animal to understand the entry point, damage, contamination and protection the property may need long term.
Respect the Wildlife
Use responsible methods appropriate for the species, the home and the situation whenever possible.
Experience and character
A Team Homeowners Can Trust Inside Their Homes
True Care team members average more than seven years of tenure, and that average continues to grow. The company’s three Oklahoma state-licensed wildlife technicians are Brad M. (license #4333280), Anthony S. (license #10263996) and Tanner S. (license #5538799).
Experience matters, but character matters just as much. Every team member is expected to demonstrate honesty, respect, accountability, compassion and pride in the quality of the work.
A customer is not simply hiring someone to remove an animal. They are trusting a person to enter their home, evaluate an unfamiliar problem and recommend how to protect one of their most valuable possessions. We take that responsibility seriously.
When a customer raises a concern, our responsibility is to listen, investigate honestly and do everything reasonable to reach a fair resolution—even when that requires returning, doing additional work or accepting a loss.
Protection built for Oklahoma
The True Care Home Protection Standard™
Brad developed the Home Protection Standard to give Oklahomans the thorough inspection, responsible resolution and long-term protection they deserve from a local company.
Local means contributing locally
Building a Stronger Oklahoma Community
Brad’s commitment to Oklahoma extends beyond wildlife removal. He also launched the Local Community Alliance, a nonprofit initiative that connects local contractors and service businesses with trusted Oklahoma nonprofits that need practical support.
The Alliance helps businesses find meaningful opportunities to give back while helping local organizations meet real needs. Its purpose is simple: bring dependable local businesses and trusted nonprofits together so they can accomplish more for Oklahoma families and communities.
Through True Care Wildlife and the Local Community Alliance, Brad wants to show how locally owned businesses can create good careers, serve customers responsibly and strengthen the communities around them.
The future of True Care
Building an Oklahoma Institution for Full-Home Protection
True Care Wildlife is being built to become the trusted Oklahoma name homeowners know to call for complete protection from wildlife—and, in the company’s next chapter, household pests. Growth will remain rooted in local leadership, experienced employees, honest recommendations, long-term outcomes and meaningful investment in Oklahoma communities.
